Updates to Prudentia Financial Planning: July 2020

New Business Process

I have had to revisit my business processes due to the significant increase in my workload due to the COVID induced market volatility, increased client enquiries and increased compliance requirements in running an Australian Financial Services License (AFSL). This is in addition to my usual responsibilities including portfolio management and annual reviews for each client.

To improve efficiency and reduce our use of paper, I will be utilising an online storage facility to hold advice documents. You will be able to access your advice documents either via your super / investment platforms’ document storage facility or via my “Box” storage facility if the former is not available to you. All clients will already have online access to their super / investment accounts via the applicable platform. Rather than sending documents to you by email or mail (less secure and slower), I will upload them to the storage facility and then email you when it’s ready. You can then login to your account and download the documents to your device (computer, ipad, etc).

Advice documents will now have web links/web addresses directing you to the applicable Product Disclosure Statements. If the links don’t work then please advise me and I will send them to you via email.

New Staff Member

I have hired an experienced Paraplanner to assist with completing advice documents for my business – Ashleigh Zimmerle. Ashleigh is based in Queensland and has worked in the financial planning industry since 2015. Ashley has experience in financial planning strategies including Insurance, Super, SMSF, Defined Benefits, Retirement Planning, Investments and Centrelink. Initial research and recommendations are completed by me in conjunction with Lonsec Research and Ash will combine everything into a well structured report and check for any errors.

Business Partner/Contact Person

I made the decision last year to set up an AFSL with my colleague Ben Maw and have been extremely grateful for having an experienced and competent business partner to work alongside me. Although he has his own client base and office, if for some reason you can’t get hold of me, then please contact Ben. His contact details can be found on the KAM Financial website – click here.
